Mr. Bibhuti Bhusan Gadanayak, received his master’s degree from DPMM, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, and M. Phil from Central Institute of Psychiatry, India. He is presently working as United Nations Disaster Management Team Officer with United Nations based in Delhi, India. After graduating from DPMM, he joined UNISDR, Bangkok, and was mainly working on the Institutional and Policy Landscapes of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) in South Asia. He was also engaged for the coordination of inter-governmental agencies like ASEAN, SAARC for the provision of assistance to inter-agency working groups and committees. In the recent past, he was working on the Asia Pacific Disaster Report, published in Korea during 4th Asian Ministerial Conference by the Prime Minister of Korea. In addition to this, he has worked with Academic Institutions, UNDP, IFRC and others in India in the field of disaster management.
