Ms. Thanapa Pornprakit comes from the far west of Bangkok, Bang Khun Thien. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Arts with Geography major and Chinese Minor from Silpakorn University. She did her internship at Royal Thai Survey Department and worked as a survey and data collection staff (freelance) at Southeast Asia Management Co. Ltd.

She joined DPMM as she noticed that from the past major disasters (i.e. 2004 tsunami, 2011 flood), there are only a few professionals in this field in Thailand. She aims to play an essential role in preventing, preparing and mitigating against future disasters as well as effectively responding during the onset of disasters.
