2014 DRC International Course on Approaches for Disaster Resilience

Elaine Chong Su Feng and Thanapa Pornprakit from DPMM, and Ayu Narwastu Ciptahening from GTE, were selected to join the 2014 DRC “International Course on Approaches for Disaster Resilience” of the “Consortium for International Human Resource Development for Construction of Disaster-Resilient Countries (DRC)” that was developed by Kyoto University in collaboration with ASEAN universities. This interdisciplinary educational program on disaster reduction, disaster restoration, disaster recovery, and disaster risk management will be held from 4 – 25 August 2014 in Japan followed by 3 – 27 September 2014 in Indonesia and a distance learning program conducted by Kyoto University from October 2014 until January 2015. They will join students from various universities i.e. Chulalongkorn University, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Kasesart University, National Cheng Kung University, Vietnam National University and Kyoto University in participating in this intensive programme.
