Mr. Saswata Sanyal holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from University of Calcutta in 2008, and later received his Masters in Disaster Management from TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences), Mumbai in April 2011. While at TISS he did internships in ADPC (Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre), Bangkok and WBSDMA (West Bengal State Disaster Management Authority), Sundarban in 2011. He has also co-authored a Poster on Health and Humanitarian Logistics: What Beyond ‘Relief ‘? which was presented at Georgia Institute of Technology (GeorgiaTech) in the Conference for Health and Humanitarian Logistics 2011 along with co- presenters. He worked in a SIFF (Sustainable Indigenous Futures Fund), Austria funded project in Andaman and Nicobar group of Islands on ‘Disaster Recovery and Sustainable Livelihood Regeneration’ for more than a year before joining the PhD Program at DPMM in August 2012.
